Past work experience- During my twelve years as a qualified Financial Planner and managing director at CL Johnston & Associates Financial Services, I specialised in risk planning, wealth management, estate planning, employee benefits and business assurance for small, medium and large clients. My role included short-term insurance broking for small, medium and large personal and commercial clients. My financial planning career also involved extensive property research and analysis, property portfolio and investment management. Although I was responsible for leading business operations, strategies and operational efficiency, my true strength was and still is in client relationship management. Most recently I owned and managed various restaurants within the Famous Brands Ltd group, including Turn 'n Tender Cresta, Mugg & Bean Town Square and Mugg & Bean Boskruin.
Why Real Estate? :I believe I am best suited as a commercial real estate specialist because of my passion for property investing, extensive experience in wealth management / financial planning, business experience and strong client relationship management over the past 17 years. Having recently invested in the restaurant industry, my primary focus was the commercial property research and analysis of the best desired restaurant locations. After securing these prime sites, the businesses were acquired below market value and built into thriving and loved food destinations. In addition to my commercial real estate experience, I have purchased, developed and sold numerous residential investment properties within our local market. I spend most of my personal time analyzing property markets across South Africa, UK, USA and Australia as I constantly strive to expand my knowledge within the local and global property markets. Along my path of financial planning, restaurant management and property investing, the most valuable lesson I have gained is recognising the importance of client relationship management which has confirmed my love and skill for this field. My entire life has led me to the property industry, and I can finally focus on my passion of researching, analysing and finding the perfect investment / commercial property for my clients. My focus is and always will be on my client's individual needs.
