The Space:
This exquisite 4.5-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom family home is located in Hout Bay, Cape Town, and features two patios, both with wood-burning fireplaces—perfect for cozy evenings. The bedrooms are arranged as follows:
-Main Bedroom: King-sized bed with en-suite bathroom
- Bedroom 2: King-sized bed (can be converted into two singles)
- Bedroom 3: Queen-sized bed
- Mezzanine Bedroom: Queen bed with an en-suite bathroom and an adjoining mezzanine area with a King bed (also convertible into two singles)
The family living room downstairs has a fireplace, while the upper-level living room offers comfortable sofas and a large smart TV.
The majority of the furnishings and artwork are custom-made by ARTEP, transforming the historic, rustic charm of the space into an elegant and sophisticated living environment. The garden features multi-level terraces and a spacious Braai/BBQ area for family gatherings.
The property also includes a tenanted granny flat with its own outdoor space, separate from the main house and garden.
Other Things to Note:
- Artep House is self-catering, but tea, coffee, milk, and kitchen essentials (oil, vinegar, salt, pepper) are provided.
- High-quality hotel linen, towels, and luxurious toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap) are available in all bathrooms.
- For longer stays, linen will be changed every 8 days.
