Baardskeerdersbos, also known as B'bos is a pretty hamlet situated right in the heart of the Cape Overberg.
Fun fact: The name originated around 1660 when an expedition-team of five men, sent by Jan van Riebeeck, reported on the valley and encountered the small spider-like creatures called "Baardscheerders" (Beard Shavers) known for cutting human hair for nest-making purposes. No idea if they still inhabit the area, but I can report that the lovely people of B'bos seems to have heads full of hair....
This valley remained largely obscure until recently. Despite the recent run of newcomers to the area buying up available homes and land, it still boasts the type of seclusion found in very few places in South Africa. What a gem!
